WorldKit is the open source GIS program used on this site to create maps through which the data can be accessed.
WorldKit is easy to use and has accessible documentation. To use WorldKit, download the files from the WorldKit web site, unpack them, and place them in a single directory on your webserver. Once the files have been loaded, the introductory application should be accessible from your browser.

worldkit.swf - the (flash) core mapping engine
config.xml - the configuration file
xxx.jpg - your .jpg image
rss.xml - the data file
index.html - your home page
